There are ALOT of good reasons for purchasing used tools and equipment. The first and obvious is cost. Huge discounts are available through The Tool Shop. We typically see discounts off retail of 50% to 80%. But there are pitfalls and you must be aware of what you are purchasing.
What to look for in used tools:
1. Clean. Is the tool clean and rust free? If not, that is a good indication the tool was not properly taken care of.
2. Sound. When you turn it on, does it sound right? Some pieces of equipment may not have been run for some time and are a little 'sluggish' when starting.
